Dr. Andreas Pauls studied mechanical engineering at the Ruhr-University in Bochum and in 1992 did his doctorate in engineering at the machine tool laboratory at the RWTH Aachen University.
In 2004 he came from SSA Global (formerly Baan Germany plc) to NTT DATA Business Solutions AG (back then itelligence AG). In his 10-year tenure with Baan, he held several consulting and sales management roles. His last position was Manager Sales to New Clients DACH. As Vice President Sales at NTT DATA Business Solutions AG, he took responsibility for sales to new and existing clients in Germany and Austria.
At the beginning of 2011, Dr. Andreas Pauls together took over management of the SAP Business Unit Germany. In this role he was responsible for the operative business of the product areas; software licensing, maintenance, consulting and managed services. In 2014 he joined the Global Leadership Team as Executive Vice President.
In fall 2020, Dr. Andreas Pauls was appointed as sole Managing Director of NTT DATA Business Solutions Germany. This step was accompanied with him taking over the regional responsibility for Germany including subsidiaries, Austria and Switzerland (DACH).
