itelligence, NTT DATA Business Solutions announces appointment of new ‘Head of APAC Region’: On 13 August 2018, Sharath Burla took over from Max White as general manager of APAC NTT DATA Business Solutions. The new APAC CEO will report directly to Norbert Rotter, CEO of the itelligence, NTT DATA Business Solutions Group. COO of itelligence AG Uwe Bohnhorst will continue to act as itelligence, NTT DATA Business Solutions’ APAC region co-CEO.
‘The APAC region harbours major business potential for us,’ emphasises Group CEO Norbert Rotter: ‘We currently have 550 employees in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia who will all report directly to Mr Burla. Together with our itelligence colleagues in China, Malaysia and India, we intend to pursue much stronger growth in the APAC region and want to make it more profitable,’ Rotter continues.
Sharath Burla, who is originally from India, has lived in Singapore for over nineteen years and is now a Singaporean citizen. Sharath has more than 25 years of business experience including over 18 years of management experience in Information Technology, ERP, CRM, Supply chain management and program management. Prior to joining NTT DATA BS APAC, Sharath held multiple senior management positions in sales, practice and strategy at DXC Technology (HPE). In his last role at DXC, Sharath was responsible for Enterprise Cloud Applications Business P/L across the region. Prior to DXC, Sharath held partner and leadership positions at start-ups and fortune 500 companies. Sharath holds a bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and a master’s in business administration from California State University. He is currently pursuing his SAP Masters in Sales Transformation from London. In addition, Sharath holds multiple industry and professional certifications including PMP from PMI, CSCP from APICS, SAP, Siebel, ITSM, Six Sigma and others.
