Fastbolt and NTT DATA Business Solutions – a Strong Team of Many Year’s Standing

“There‘s more to us than just screws” is the Fastbolt motto – a product range specialist for industrial connecting elements. As a wholesaler, Fastbolt distributes tapping screws, drilling screws, threaded bolts, and nuts, among other things. An important element of the sales philosophy is the constant optimization of business processes. In order to transfer this to the IT landscape as well, SAP has already been successfully implemented as an ERP system since 2000.

Based on its very positive experience, Fastbolt has now decided on a 1:1 release change to SAP ERP 6.0. In order to gain an even more flexible and cost-efficient configuration of the data exchange with merchants, the EDI communication will be supported by NTT DATA Business Solutions’ own it.x-EDIconnect solution. The transparent monitoring and the user-friendly interfaces helped convince Fastbolt most of all.

Based on data such as purchase order, article, or invoice number, EDI data can be found and processes completed. Technical and business monitoring allows Fastbolt to configure and increase the transparency of the solution here, as both the specialist department and IT can track and analyze processes. So it is possible to check all individual technical operations in the business processes at any time during monitoring. The IT department at Fastbolt can thus keep track of all EDI processes, intervene when necessary and make corrections at any time.
