Executive Vice President, Head of North America, Member of the Global Executive Team
Steve Niesman has served as itelligence North America’s President and Chief Executive Officer since late 2002. In this role, he oversees operations for itelligence’s broad range of consulting and customer support services that further maximize SAP solutions. Niesman has also served as a member of itelligence AG’s Global Management Board since 2002.
For the past 13 years, Niesman has led itelligence North America through tremendous revenue and employee growth, as well as significant SAP industry achievements, partnerships, and strategic acquisitions. In 2015, itelligence North America achieved record year-end revenue of $147 million, compared with revenue of approximately $25 million in 2002. During this same time period, the company has tripled in size to approximately 650 North American employees in 2015.
In addition, under Steve Niesman’s leadership, itelligence North America is an annual recipient of prestigious SAP Pinnacle Awards that recognize partner contributions to customer success and innovation. From 2007-2015, itelligence North America received nine consecutive SAP Awards as North American Partner of the Year. Niesman frequently participates as a guest speaker on industry topics at SAP partner events across the U.S., including the SAPPHIRE NOW Annual Conference.
During his tenure with itelligence, Niesman has led numerous acquisitions that strategically expanded the company’s service offerings and market presence in the U.S. and Canada. These deals include the acquisition of Symphony Management Consulting, an SAP and SuccessFactors partner specializing in human capital management (HCM) consulting services, in 2014; the acquisition of Aster Group, an SAP partner specializing in business planning and consolidation consulting services in 2013; the acquisition of the operational areas of SAP consulting, license and maintenance for Software AG in Canada and the U.S. in 2013; and the acquisition of RPF Consulting, LLC, a business intelligence and data warehousing solutions company for large and midmarket clients, in 2010.
Prior to joining itelligence in 2002, Niesman held sales and senior general management positions with SAP America, Inc., where he managed a team of professions delivering sales, consulting and training solutions exceeding a budget of $250 million. He previously held senior management positions at First Chicago Corporation (currently Chase). Niesman began his career in the field of accounting working for DeKalb Corporation.
Steve Niesman earned a B.B.A in Accounting from Illinois Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He also completed an Executive Training Program at the INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France. Niesman is also a Certified Public Accountant. He is married with three children and resides in the Chicagoland area.
