Neither Greenfield nor Brownfield offer you what you expect from the SAP S/4HANA transition? In this case, you can benefit from the Selective Data Transition with Natuvion’s ALLFIELD approach, a smart way to move to the new ERP system. The ALLFIELD approach aims to maintain a sensible balance between retaining and redesigning existing processes, data and structures. But how does the ALLFIELD approach work?
2 Steps to SAP S/4HANA with Natuvion’s ALLFIELD approach
Step 1: The System Shell Moves and Gets Adapted
With the ALLFIELD approach, an empty system shell is first created, which only contains the customizing and the relevant customer-specific programming from the productive SAP system. This step is also called “Shell Creation”. Without the corresponding master and transaction data, this shell can be easily migrated to SAP S/4HANA.
In its empty form, you can now also adjust the customizing of processes and organizational structures that would otherwise be prevented by the master and transaction data. The shell also serves as a template for project-specific test systems.
Step 2: Only Selected Data Follows into the New SAP S/4HANA System
In the next step, the data is selectively transferred from the old system to the adapted system running on SAP S/4HANA and its new data structures. As a customer, you therefore have the freedom to decide to what extent you want to transfer your existing data. This can be done step by step and data from several SAP ERP systems can be combined in one SAP S/4HANA system.
If desired, you can cleanse and harmonize the data in the same step. With the ALLFIELD approach, the time in which the systems are not available due to the transition can be reduced to a minimum, up to a near-zero downtime.
Your Benefits of Our Partnership with Natuvion and the ALLFIELD Approach
The hybrid ALLFIELD approach is offered by itelligence in cooperation with Natuvion. Natuvion’s data conversion software outlines a fast path to SAP S/4HANA regardless of the size or complexity of the transition project.
Customers benefit from a particularly cost-efficient and uninterrupted transition to the new ERP system. Natuvion’s cutover app offers, in addition to the comprehensive Selective Data Transition capabilities, workflow management to the second and real-time dashboards for numerous cutover roles and responsibilities. This means that the project status and progress can be monitored transparently at all times.
Our itelligence service team uses these tools from Natuvion for customer projects based on the ALLFIELD approach and combines them with our extensive SAP expertise and experience in project management for SAP S/4HANA transitions.
Natuvion and itelligence are jointly developing the solution further and intensively exchange knowledge on an ongoing basis. Finally, as Natuvion is a founding member of the SAP S/4HANA Selective Data Transition Engagement Community, we maintain close and trustful relations and ensure we are always up-to-date and part of further development.
Move to SAP S/4HANA with the SAP ACTIVATE Methodology
One thing is certain: A successful SAP S/4HANA transition can only succeed with a holistic and comprehensive approach. It is important to combine flexibility in implementation with security in planning, especially in the calculation of effort and costs.
In addition, it must be ensured that effects and downtimes during go-live are reduced to a minimum. SAP has developed the ACTIVATE methodology for this purpose. The SAP S/4HANA transition consists of four phases: Prepare, Explore, Realize and Deploy.
