Finance Director
If Joe summed up his finance philosophy in modern business, it is “to use the best systems and processes available to allow secure and painless relationships with the customer.” It is this ethos which Joe has leveraged in many senior finance roles within the IT industry, across many geographies, and which ultimately attracted him to SAP and itelligence.
Joe was appointed as Finance Director of NTT DATA Business Solutions (itelligence UK) in 2016 after a relationship with SAP spanning over 25 years. Joe’s SAP adventure started in the early 1990’s when the hardware manufacturer he was working for, AST (1990-1995), installed SAP R/2 worldwide. Joe was involved in the European configuration and roll-out and liked the SAP software so much, he joined the company.
During his time as Finance Manager of SAP UKI (1996-1999), the company exploded from 150 employees to 500+ in the UK with new training centres in London and Dublin and the move into new headquarters (Clockhouse Place, Feltham) to accommodate this phenomenal growth. During this time, SAP UKI launched its partner program of which itelligence was one of the first to join.
In 2000, Joe was presented with an opportunity to move to Paris and helped a UK company set up a French subsidiary. Under his strategic leadership, the company achieved strong organic growth. Joe returned to the software industry in early 2001 with the European Airline IT supplier, Amadeus, as Financial Controller for the new Airline IT division.
Born and Educated in Australia, Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Business (BBus) from the University of Central Queensland. In 2010, he became a Fellow of CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountants). Joe is married with two daughters and his spare time is spent playing bad golf, watching good rugby and enjoying frequent visits to the theatre.
