Itelligence were proud to sponsor SAP Inside track Sheffield #SITSHEFF

If you have not heard of SAP Inside Track these events are organised worldwide by SAP enthusiasts for SAP enthusiasts. They are independent of SAP themselves and are intended to have a real community feel to them. This can be seen at the event as the sessions tend to be very informal, fun and more discussion based than at most other conferences.

Building on the success of a great event in Manchester last year not only did the registrations double, but the number of attendees on the day also almost doubled.    The word is definitely getting round as to the value of the day for attendees, maybe we can double the numbers again next year?

There was a packed day’s agenda covering a wide range of topics:

  • Big Data and Social Media Analysis
  • SAP UI5
  • SAP Fiori
  • SAP BusinessObjects Analytics
  • DevOps
  • SAP Business One
  • Ethical Hacking
  • Personas

I personally presented the session on SAP BusinessObjects Analytics.  As a presenter these events keep you on your toes as the questions come thick and fast and can be from a basic to an expert level, again another example of the informal feel to the sessions.   I’ll be back next year and have some ideas to help the delegates understand more about analytics from SAP so “Watch This Space”.

Sheffield Hallam University was an excellent venue with first class rooms to use.  They even opened up one of their computer centres to run a 2hour hands on session on Ethical Hacking.   I attended this session and even though I have never written a line of code in my life I got lots out of it.  The topic was new to me and I was astounded just how easy it is using freeware tools to hack into both Windows and Linux PC’s.  My first action after finishing this blog is to change all my passwords …  everywhere!

Thanks should go out SAP Mentors Steve Lofthouse, Tim Guest, DJ Adams and all the presenters for putting on a great day and to itelligence for sponsoring the events Food and Drinks from local coffee shops and cafes. Final thanks to Zoedale for providing a few libations to wind down after the day.
