The presentations on Thursday 25 September signalled the end of our analytics training. Over the past eight weeks we have up-skilled on: Web Intelligence, Agile Methodologies, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP IDT Universe Design, Data Warehousing principles, Dashboards and ABAP Programming. It is therefore clear that Itelligence have invested vast amounts of time and money in our training and development.
Once the training concluded, I started working for a £1.4 billion assets management company. I tested their servers and reports as they were migrating from Business Objects 4.0 to 4.1. Everything was completed on time and we went live on the agreed date.
After I finished testing I had some time “on the bench.” This gave me the opportunity to receive an introduction to the subject of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM). EPM seeks to integrate a business’s financial budgeting, planning and consolidation processes and resources, in order to transform their business through an IT solution. I studied Business Studies so I felt pretty familiar with the concepts being discussed such as balance sheets, profit and loss and ledgers. I thoroughly enjoyed the training and I hope to work on EPM projects in the near future.
