Welcome to the second part of five in this blog series. We have segmented the agenda to make it easier for you to focus on the topics that are important to you.
After the keynote session, each half day segment uses a consistent flow to help you easily plan and focus.
Day 1 – AM – Keynotes
Just like our previous physical conferences day 1 begins with a keynote session. A rich cast of itelligence experts and customers who will (hopefully) provide a fast paced, interactive, and informative update on all things itelligence and SAP.
I am also pleased to announce that SAP UK&I MD Michiel Verhoeven will join itelligence UKI & I MD Justin Brading and myself for a live Q&A session. Michiel has been SAP UK & Ireland Managing Director since July 2020. Michiel has been with SAP for the past seven years working in sales and services roles and, prior to that, spent eight years at Microsoft. Most recently, Michiel was responsible for leading services across Asia Pacific and Japan. This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand from the top of SAP UK&I.
As if that was not enough, I am delighted to say that this year our celebrity keynote speaker is the one and only Tim Peake. Tim is a former Apache pilot, flight instructor, test pilot and current European Space Agency astronaut.
In December 2015, Tim became the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station and conduct a spacewalk during his six month mission. He also ran the London marathon from space. Originally booked for our postponed physical conference, Tim’s perspectives on thriving in isolation and the realities of returning to “normal” are sure to strike a chord with everyone.
Day 1 – PM – Plan your move towards S/4HANA and the Intelligent Enterprise
Planning a move to S/4HANA is difficult, you know it and we know it. At #itelliFest2020 you can learn from other customers who are bringing the intelligent enterprise to life. Understand the different S/4HANA versions, the impact on integrated applications (eg. BW), the new UX and Analytics opportunities available, and the different routes to adoption. All placed in the context of business cases, business value and the shifting SAP maintenance windows.
Joining me for the Plenary session will be itelligence experts; Claire Neale, Stephen Jerram and Richard Stokes. We will be discussing a range of topics from the challenges of business case building, to the benefits of being up and running on S/4HANA. You can also expect the usual itelligence real world take on the latest announcements from SAP. Our customer story will feature an SAP S/4HANA Conversion discussion with Alan Cecchini from Newcastle University, and do not forget you can join Alan and I for a live Q&A right afterwards.
Day one’s structured content comes to a close with focus sessions from Richard and Stephen. Richard’s session will tackle a major question head on; “When should I adopt S/4HANA?” Richard will share his experiences of helping customers answer this most important question, but also experiences from itelligence customers globally. If you are struggling to understand your timeline then this is a session not to be missed.
Following Richard, Stephen Jerram tackles “The Rainbow Road – How to Approach a Move to S/4HANA”. You can be forgiven for being confused when you consider the best approach to take when planning your adoption of S/4HANA. Greenfield, Brownfield, Bluefield or something else? There is an abundance of options, but how do you know which is best for your situation? Join Stephen to find out.
From 16:00 to 17:00 you can attend an interactive Q&A with Stephen, Richard and Claire or you are welcome to explore #itelliFest for discussions with other attendees and our sponsors.
The rest of this blog series will explore the remaining days of the agenda in more detail to help you better plan your attendance. Nowhere else will you be exposed to so much content, guidance, and thought-provoking insight. You will benefit from 4 days packed full of inspiring keynotes, demos, customer case studies, sponsor booths and interactive networking.
So, what are you waiting for?
You and your colleagues are welcome to join us at itelliFest2020, the itelligence conference, but different.
We hope to see you there.
Read the other blogs in this series and what is happening each day.
1 Exploration Hour. Each segment begins and ends with an Exploration Hour where we encourage you to immerse yourself in the online experience. You can meet our Sponsors at the Expo, chat with itelligence experts, or network with your fellow delegates.
2 Topic Plenary. During the topic plenary members of the itelligence team will share their latest thoughts and experiences as well as answering questions that you wish to raise through the interactive chat panel. In addition, I am pleased to say that every plenary contains an extended customer interview to allow real conversations about projects that have been recently undertaken.
3 Ask the Customer. From previous itelligence events we know that customer stories are an incredibly valuable part of the event experience, so after the plenary each customer speaker will take part in a virtual roundtable. Using the video capabilities of our event platform, we will give you the opportunity to ask the questions that are important to you. These are open sessions, however questions will be moderated to ensure fairness of access.
4 Topic Focus Sessions. We take two important conversations from the Topic Plenary and dig deeper into each. What is the business problem we are looking to address? Get a clearer understanding of the solution options available and understand the benefits that can be realised.
5 Ask the Experts. Just like the customer session, following the Focus Topic Sessions, the itelligence experts will be available for a virtual roundtable. You can ask the questions that are important to you. These are open sessions, however questions will be moderated to ensure fairness of access.
