Meet itelligence UK Trainers: Training is Nicky’s Life

itelligence trainers are different. The team provides customised training with SAP solutions and technologies, data warehousing theory and practice training, and business intelligence on SAP BusinessObjects and Microsoft BI. It’s a different kind of training – with experienced professionals with an average of 15 years experience.

Get to know the faces behind the itelligence team!

Nicola Triggs Pic (2)Nicky joined itelligence nine years ago and has been helping to train delegates on many of the courses offered. She trains because she is good at it and it’s been her life for so long!

1. What’s the best part of your job?

I love when I get to the end of a course and see the impact I’ve had on someone’s job. I love hearing “I wish I knew that three years ago!”

2. How do you connect with your delegates?

There are constantly new people to train, but we quickly build a rapport and by the end of the course, I’ve met some new and nice people and feel like we’ve all made new friends. It’s a great small group dynamic to come together help someone work smarter and faster and also network. The lunch is a great chance to build trust in the delegates and get to know one another.

3. Do you ever get caught out by your delegates?

The people we train understand their top, they just want to know it better. It’s important for me to keep my skills up to date as I know my delegates will ask questions and how to do things that are challenging. I constantly extend my knowledge through application of the SAP products into their real world requirements.

I spent time with the other trainers ensuring we are a hub of information – and we’ve all pretty much heard every possible application of technology!

4. What’s your funniest moment?

I’m going back a fair few years, but it’s still one of the funniest things I’ve seen. On a half day workshop, I asked a delegate to “point the mouse at the top of the screen.” The delegate picked up the mouse and placed it on the screen. Windows machines were quite a “new thing” and people were used to using function keys to edit text, a “cursor” was a revolutionary new development at the time!

5. What type of courses do you deliver?

My subject matter expertise ranges from SAP BusinessObjects to Tableau Software and Strategy Companion training.
