Why your S/4 activities will most likely fail without Solution Manager

How many people today still use a map and compass to plan out there route to a destination? Technology has surpassed this with connected technologies which can plan your route, identify obstacles and plan around them regardless of your mode of travel. A typical journey today can be planned and executed using a smart phone or GPS and we trust it will guide us to our destination based on our preferences.

Now let’s consider a different journey…you’re an existing SAP ERP customer running your business on SAP ECC and you think the time is right to start planning your move to S/4HANA. But, where do you begin?

What you need is a tool which will guide you, just like your smartphone to that destination. Something that will plan the route, help you prepare for the journey and ideally help you when you arrive. Something that will;

  • Tell you how much of your solution you are using
  • Tell you if there are parts of the solution which cannot come along for the ride
  • Tell you how much of the standard code you have changed
  • And much more….

At the #itelli2018 Conference I will be talking about why SAP Solution Manager is crucial in guiding you on your journey and why I believe it should be considered your GPS for the journey to S/4HANA.

I will be presenting at 2.10pm in the Victoria Room, QEII Centre, London, and hope to see you there.

On 23rd May 2018, #itelli2018 will bring the SAP community together and provide expert guidance with customer-led insight to explain why and how organisations are adopting new disruptive SAP technologies in the pursuit of digital transformation. Showcasing the latest SAP applications and SAP analytics innovation, there will be multiple sessions comprising 6 streams including customer presentations, interactive areas, hands-on zones, live demonstrations, expert advice in the consultant’s corner, plus the SAP Digital Boardroom!
