Introduction

This two-day training course equips delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop reports using Microsoft Report Builder 3.0. Attendees will be able to utilise the programme and generate reports from various sources simultaneously, in order to investigate the different features of each release – by using SQL 2008R2, SQL 2012, and SQL 2014 Standard and Enterprise. The course covers a variety of areas in Report Builder 3.0, such as report design, parameters, expressions and visualisations.

Please note that attendees of this course must have understanding of OLAP solutions and experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Microsoft Report Builder Prerequisites:

In order to succeed on this Microsoft report builder course the following competencies are required:

  • Experience navigating the Microsoft Windows Server environment.
  • Experience with Windows services (starting and stopping).
  • Experience creating service accounts and permissions.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including:
  • SQL Server Agent.
  • SQL Server query language (SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE).
  • SQL Server System tables.
  • SQL Server accounts (users and permissions)
