25th Anniversary Blog Series: U.S. Beginnings

Seven years after the company’s founding in Germany in 1989, Schmidt Vogel Consulting (SVC) opened for business in the U.S. in Cincinnati, Ohio.  While the choice of this great American city made sense both because of its central location in the Midwest and its rich German heritage, the primary reason for the 1996 U.S. debut of SVC was client service.  Procter & Gamble, the world’s largest multinational consumer goods company, was using SAP software and needed experienced local support.  In response to this amazing, high-profile opportunity, SVC  immediately hired consultants to provide on-site support and officially opened for business. Today, itelligence still has its U.S. headquarters in Cincinnati, where client service remains the number one priority.
